My husband and I and our baby girl Elizabeth went out to the breakfast club this morning in Ankeny. I’ve been wanting to try this restaurant for a while. And we saved up this week so that we could go.

I had the breakfast tacos. Which had pulled pork, eggs, hot sauce, cilantro, avocado, and pickled onion. My husband got the crab rangoon eggs benedict.

My food was delicious. The corn tortilla was soft and the flavor is all meshes together really well. My favorite part was probably the avocado sauce. Sauce is always pull the whole dish together and I really felt that this sauce did that.

My husband didn’t have very many comments on the crab Rangoon. He didn’t know where Benedict was so he was surprised when he had a runny egg. Not his favorite. But he does love crab rangoons, and he ate all of it. It looked like there was a base of crab Rangoon, and then the eggs were on top of it, and then the hollandaise on top of that. There was some shrimp on the side as well. He gave those to me because he’s not a shrimp fan.

He also got a side of hashbrowns with your perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. He gave some to Elizabeth. She seemed pretty happy with it.

We got seat outside on the patio and it was perfect weather not too hot and there’s a slight cool breeze.

I look forward to going there again. They had quite an extensive menu and there’s lots of things to try. And once you’re done eating, you can walk around the district. We have lots of little shops in the area is very fun.
